22/7/10 Magnum. Full, dense and relatively rich. So substantial it is more of a food wine than an aperitif. 18/20
2/7/12 This is shining where the 1995 and 1996 misfired: wondrously complex, yeasty, cakey, luxurious, spicy. Still has a tight structure on the palate, but really cranks up the complexity on the finish. Fabulous saline and smoke note. 18/20
23/12/21 Orangey gold. Very rich, almost sweet! With a lot of Pinot influence. Quite creamy-textured and dense. Probably no point in keeping this. Dried out after opening but the panoply of dried-fruit aromas was pretty exciting soon after opening.
Bear in mind none of these were tasted from Double Magnum which will age slower than the examples listed.
