This is their second vintage from this 1er Cru and only 3 Casks of wine were produced, even in this bountiful vintage. It was our favourite wine from the Chanzy tasting. Richly fragrant with lifted berry fruit aromas and your choice from dried herbs, potpourri, lavender or citrus peel. Like the best wines from this vintage it has so much to offer early in its life, but clearly will settle into something even more special in the long term. The palette is a serious ball of black and red berry fruit but with delicacy and a seductive silky texture. Again a combination of richness and purity, concentration and vivacity, intensity and subtle length as only Burgundy can supply. Drink 2026-2040
